Visual Analytics 101: Tools, Techniques and Theory

VIVA is having another round of the student VA 101 workshop (Visual Analytics 101: Tools, Techniques and Theory) at UBC starting September! If you were planning to come last summer but couldn’t because of class/work/travel/etc., or if you heard of the workshops after it ended… here’s your chance!

If you’re interested, please look here for more details & to register:

Workshop sessions are 1 hour long, and there will be a classroom component and a lab component. For the lab component, we’ll decide on the day/time once people register, and make sure we have open lab hours where people can come in and do hands-on exercises.

These workshops will prepare you for taking on a VA project, which is part of the Junior Visual Analyst Certification process. For more information about VIVA’s Junior Visual Analyst Certification click here.

Seats are limited, so secure your spot now! Please feel free to forward this invite to students who may be interested.

For people who already took the workshop during the summer–we’re planning to have an advanced VA workshop in January, so you can either 1) wait, or 2) join the fun! Plan with us!
